The Story of Our Rings

Initially, upon getting engaged I was wearing a temporary ring so that we could announce our engagement and John could purpose. We are be using my parent's rings as our engagement/wedding rings. This still means the world to me as I lost my father 10 years ago to cancer and this felt like a wonderful way to honor his legacy. But seeing as I would be wearing the ring John wanted to have it customized for me. So he is getting a custom set of rings made for us using the rings my mom gave him that came from the years my parents were together. But the rings are going to take 6 weeks to finish so he asked me if I wanted to wait to get engaged until the rings were ready or go with a temporary option this was what we decided.
